Opera Queensland celebrates its 40th year with a stylish return to the spotlight

Opera Queensland unveiled their ambitious plan for their 40th anniversary season with a star-studded concert at the Riverstage on Saturday evening.

The company is celebrating a return to the stage in 2021 with a full slate of fresh new works, intimate concerts, a regional road trip and a few much-loved favourites.

In announcing the season, Artistic Director & CEO Patrick Nolan said, “Season 2021 heralds a welcome return to the main stage for Opera Queensland – and a return to full audience capacity – after COVID-19 threw a spanner in the works of our 2020 program.

“Season 2021 will be anchored by major productions of Lorelei, The Marriage of Figaro and Aida playing to full houses at QPAC venues.”
