Four hunted, Buderim man rushed to hospital after machete attack

A man is in a serious condition after being pinned down and struck with a machete during a home invasion on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

Police say four men went into the 29-year-old’s home in Buderim, about 6.20pm on Thursday.

Detectives say the man was held down while the men struck him in the face, chest and lower back with a machete.

The group then ran away, leaving the resident with deep cuts all over his body.

The 29-year-old was rushed to Sunshine Coast University Hospital where he’s in a serious, but stable condition.

Police are appealing for anyone with further information about the attack to contact them.
