A Coffs Harbour Highway Patrol car stopped the white SUV at Bonville – about 14km south of Coffs Harbour – on Wednesday.

Police say the 28-year-old man returned a positive result after undertaking a roadside drug test.

Police then allegedly found three packages of a white powder, believed to be cocaine, on the back seat and also seized two mobile phones.

Weighing approximately 3.6kg in total, the packages have an estimated potential street value of approximately $900,000.

The man was taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station and charged with supplying a commercial quantity of a prohibited drug.

The Gold Coast man was refused bail to appear in Port Macquarie Local Court on Thursday.
