Woman stabbed to death in Townsville home
A man is being questioned about the stabbing death of a woman he knew inside a Townsville home.

A man who allegedly murdered a woman at a property near Innisfail is facing other charges.
Police say the 44-year-old woman suffered critical stab wounds and died at a home in the suburb of Mundingburra just before noon on Thursday.
Detectives have arrested a 25-year-old man who knew the woman and lived on the same city block as her.

“It will be alleged the man and woman are known to each other,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
He’s being questioned about the woman’s death with investigators asking any witnesses or people with CCTV footage to contact them.
