Bonza’s chair heads back overseas as Reef Casino loses long time executive Allan Tan and more.
Tan leaves Reef Casino
After 17 years with Allan Tan has announced his retirement from his role as a director of Reef Corporate Services, the responsible entity for Reef Casino Trust, which owns the Cairns casino.
Tan would continue as a director until a replacement was found. He has previously been the chief executive officer of Casinos Austria International (Cairns) which operates the casino.
Bonza boss departs
Bonza chairman Rick Howell has reportedly left the company three months after the airline’s first commercial flight.
Reports said he has headed back overseas to pursue more opportunities with Bonza’s parent, private equity company 777.
Bonza has not responded to questions about Howell’s position.

He left the company immediately to pursue other opportunities.
New deputy DG for Tourism
The Department of Tourism, Innovation and Sport has appointed Chad Anderson as deputy director-general.

With a Bachelor of Business, Finance and Management and as a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors course, Chad has held senior executive and leadership roles across Queensland Government and with the Northern Territory Government.
After almost six years with the Australian Sports Commission, Chad joined the Department of Housing and Public Works before joining the Department of Tourism Innovation and Sport as an Executive Director.
Hawsons chair resigns
Brisbane-based Hawsons Iron has revealed that its chair Dave Woodall would retire.
The decision coincides with the board’s move to conduct a strategic skills and composition review.
Woodall became chair in May last year to lead the company to its bankable feasibility study for its iron ore project in NSW.
IHR board moved on
The takeover of intelliHR by Humanforce has meant board changes to the Brisbane company.
Executive chair Matt Donovan has gone and will be replaced by David Pullini.
At the request of Humanforce, David Pullini, Joseph Porten and Clayton Payne have been appointed to the board and Belle Lajoie has resigned.
