Brisbane’s Technology One said the hacking incident earlier this week had been contained but it still did not know the full extent of the incident.
It confirmed the hack related only to its back-office Microsoft 365 system and its customer-facing Software as a Service platform was not accessed.
It said the impacted system was isolated to contain the incident and that the system was successfully restored and was now fully operational.
“Subsequently, third-party cyber security experts have confirmed out Microsoft 365 system is secure and there has been no further illegal activity detected,” the company said.
“Our focus remains on the investigation into the incident to determine what data may have been accessed via the internal Microsoft 365 back-office system.
“The information held by Technology One on its back office system is separate to customer’s information and data on its SaaS platform, which is safe and secure.”
