Exec appointments: Govt names new project boss

The State Government has found a new co-ordinator general while former a CleanCo boss finds a new role and the council watchdog gets a new leader in this week’s executive and board appointments.

New Govt projects boss

The State Government has appointed Gerard Coggan as co-ordinator general, replacing Mike Kaiser who took on the role while the recruitment process was undertaken.

Coggan is a former APA Group executive but has worked in Government before when he was acting deputy director-general for investment facilitation and partnerships in the former Department of State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning.

Maia heads to SunDrive

Former CleanCo boss Maia Schweizer has taken up a post as chief commercial officer with SunDrive.

Schweizer left CleanCo to join Andrew Forrest’s Fortescue Future Industries where she was director of western states until March this year.

CKF says farewell to Linaker

Collins Foods Group has revealed its chief people officer Dawn Linaker has resigned following health concerns within her family and personally.

She had been with the company for eight years.

A search for a replacement has begun.

Blue loses Greer

Blue Energy said director Darren Greer had tendered his resignation.

The decision followed a internal review of his current employer which made his role as a non-executive director inconsistent with his employment terms.

Mayur changes board

Brisbane based Mayur Resources has appointed a new Singapore based director following the resignation of Benjamin Szeto Hwei.

He will be replaced by Wong Fang Shyan.

The change occurred because of changes within Mayur’s company secretarial services provider in Singapore.

Northcott joins QREC

Vecco founder and managing director Tom Northcott has joined the board of the Queensland Renewable Energy Council.

Apart from his Vecco position, Northcott is also chair at Graphinex and a director at the Advanced Materials Battery Council.

Hood takes on CCT

The state Government has appointed Russell Hood as president of the Queensland Councillor Conduct Tribunal for a four-year term.

He replaces June Anstee who finished her term and did not seek reappointment.

The CCT hears complaints of councillor misconduct.

The Government also appointed 10 casual members.

They were Dannielle Brown, Greg Chemello, Rodney Ferguson. Emma Fogerty, Kylie Goodwin, Rebecca Ogge, Robert Olding, Louise Pyrchidcsuk and Grant Wilson.

Dr Brendan Munro-Walker was also reappointed.
