Police put $68 million price tag on huge farmed marijuana plot
Nearly 14,000 cannabis plants growing in 26 greenhouses have been seized in rural Queensland.
It’s the state’s second major farm raid this month and police estimate the illicit crop is worth $68.5 million
Six people were arrested after officers raided the property on Tuesday in Rosedale, roughly 450km north of Brisbane, where police also say they found 15kg of dried cannabis.
Aged between 27 and 40, the group faces multiple drug charges, police said. Two of them are also alleged to be unlawful citizens.
All have been denied bail and are expected to appear in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court in the coming days.
It comes after police raided a property on the Fraser coast earlier this month and seized $60 million worth of cannabis found growing in vast tunnels on a farm.

Police are investigating potential links between the two farms.
“This is the seventh farm identified and disrupted by the Drug and Serious Crime Group this year,” Detective Inspector Brad Phelps said.
“We know these groups operate within a sophisticated national network of production and supply, and we will continue to work through these connections as part of ongoing investigations.
“$68.5 million worth of cannabis is another huge amount to take out of supply, in addition to the $60 million worth that was seized earlier this month.”
