A woman has been charged with murder after a child’s body was discovered in a suburb west of Brisbane on Monday night.

A woman has been charged with murder after a four-year-old girl was found dead in a home west of Brisbane on Monday night.
Police said they were called to a Lonwood property just before 11.10pm where a child was found unresponsive.
She was declared dead at the scene.
Two other children, who were inside at the time were not injured, police said. All three children were known to the woman.
On Tuesday, police said a crime scene had been established and a murder investigation launched.
A 31-year-old woman was taken into custody and subsequently charged with murder, police said.
The woman is due to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court later today.
Police did not reveal further details but said the was “no ongoing threat to the community”.
