Counter-terrorism detectives have accused a Queensland boy of planning to threaten people in a regional city.
A boy has been accused of planning to threaten people in a regional city.
The teenager has also been charged with possession of a knife in public and violent extremist material in Maryborough, north of Brisbane.
The boy is set to face court after Counter-Terrorism Investigation Group detectives searched a Maryborough address on August 27.
Multiple electronic devices and other items were seized during the search, police said.
The teenager has been charged with acts in preparation to cause death or grievous bodily harm along with possession of a knife in a public place and possession of violent extremist material.

Police said investigations were continuing but there was no ongoing threat to the public.
“There is no place in Queensland for hate and violence, and everyone has a right to feel safe without feeling threatened or victimised,” a Queensland Police statement said on Tuesday.
Anyone with information about possible threats to the community should call 1800 123 400, a 24/7 National Security Hotline, police said.
The boy is set to appear in Brisbane Children’s Court later on Tuesday.
