Update on woman accused of killing partner with car
A woman has been charged with murder after her partner was found with fatal injuries after allegedly being struck with a vehicle in a rural town street.
A woman accused of murder after her partner was fatally struck by a car will remain in custody after her case’s first court mention.
Bradley Bullock, 50, was found with fatal injuries on Stoneywood Street in the rural town of Fernvale, about 60km east of Brisbane, on Sunday afternoon after reports of a disturbance.
Lacey-Jay Bullock, 45, was charged with murder and driving while disqualified.
She was not required to appear in person in Ipswich Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
Bullock’s duty solicitor asked for a three-week adjournment and did not make an application for bail.
Members of Bullock’s family sat in the courtroom during the brief mention.
Magistrate Jason Schubert ordered the matter back to court on October 21 and remanded Bullock in custody.
When police were called to the scene on Sunday, neighbours were performing CPR on Mr Bullock, who had suffered significant injuries, police said.
The man was unable to be revived, leaving many people traumatised, Ipswich District Detective Inspector Mick Manago said.

“So as you can quite rightly imagine, the public are quite distressed by what’s occurred,” he said.
An adult child of the couple was at the home at the time of the incident.
The couple was known to police and officers had previously been to the home for domestic and family violence-related matters, Insp Manago said.
Police seized a station wagon for examination.
