Aunty

Aunty is Fortitude Valley’s latest restaurant from Tassis Group, located on Wandoo Street near the heart of James Street. Inspired by the idea of the “cool aunt”, the venue blends modern Asian cooking with a sense of warmth, generosity and personality, focusing on Cantonese-influenced flavours alongside wok and woodfire techniques. The share-style menu, overseen by head chef Salvatore de Ponte, spans dim sum, premium seafood, grilled meats and wok dishes, while a 250-strong wine list and considered cocktail offering round out the experience. Designed by Clui Design with Allo Creative, the space features a statement bar, a 100-seat dining room with intimate nooks and a private dining area, delivering a polished yet lively setting that reflects Aunty’s stylish, fun-loving spirit.
