If you’ve got a resolution to fulfil or you’ve picked up an interest in eating a plant-based diet, you’re going to go crazy over Dicki’s. Taking over the former site of Pablo in New Farm, Dicki’s opened in late 2018, wowing locals with a range of vegan available eats for breakfast and lunch seven days a week. The cafe comes from Zulueta siblings and pays homage to the family’s first vegan – their father Dicki. The all-day menu features plant-based versions of cafe classics and favourites, promising nourishing dishes that will appeal to both vegans and meat eaters alike. Highlight menu items include the tofu scramble with pesto, zucchini ribbons, roasted cherry tomatoes and spinach, the kimchi chicken burrito (with chick’n schnitzel and scrambled tofu), the California Toast (cashew cream and smashed avo on sourdough with ginger-beet sauerkraut), and the crispy satay ‘duck’ wrap. Dicki’s also serves speciality coffee (with milk alternatives available), smoothies, cold-pressed juices and organic teas.
