Don Gino

Don Gino has brought a taste of Sicily to West End, transforming the former Bar Hugo site on Hardgrave Road into a warm and welcoming neighbourhood trattoria and wine bar. Helmed by Sicilian-born chef and owner Marco La Perna, the restaurant draws on generations of family hospitality and traditional recipes, with a menu that champions simple, authentic Southern Italian cooking using premium imported produce. Expect starters like panelle, arancini, fried calamari and mussels Siciliana, alongside hearty pasta dishes, Nonna’s favourites, share boards, pizzas and classic desserts including cannoli and tiramisu. Behind the bar, more than 30 Italian and Sicilian wines are complemented by classic cocktails and imported soft drinks, rounding out a dining experience designed to make guests feel as though they’ve stepped into a little village trattoria in Sicily.
