For Jay Neven, the launch of Fuel Brewing Co. in Bulimba is a heartfelt return to his roots, taking over the original Oxford Street site where he founded Revel Brewing Co. in 2017. Although he stepped away from brewing after divesting from Revel, the chance to secure the OG venue reignited his passion for creating a community-centric space driven by great beer, food and connection. With a refreshed interior and plans to reinstall his original brewing kit, Jay is excited to brew on-site again, crafting a retooled range of core beers and experimenting with small-batch creations. Complementing the beers are spritzes, wines and an expanded menu of Neapolitan-style pizzas and share plates. Amid challenges in the brewing industry, Jay is doubling down on local engagement – believing that strong community ties and a focused brewpub model are key to long-term success.
