Set inside a heritage-listed Queenslander in west Toowong, Nowhere Espresso has evolved from beloved brunch spot into a bustling neighbourhood Italian eatery. After taking over the cafe in 2024, owners Kye Smith, Jade Endress and Trong Smith expanded the venue with a brand-new kitchen and launched a dinner menu centred around traditional pizzas, handmade pastas and quality wine, spearheaded by former 1889 Enoteca sous chef Alessio Fantera. Expect Roman-style carbonara, 48-hour fettuccine ragu, airy pizzas topped with mortadella and burrata or gorgonzola and hot honey, plus a drinks list spanning Australian wines, classic cocktails and approachable reserve bottles. Brunch is still a massive focus, with crowd-favourite dishes like chilli scram, toasted bagels and acai bowls available alongside Bear Bones Coffee, smoothies, fresh juices and shakes.
