Romeo Italian is Simone Presta’s playful new Bulimba restaurant, serving Italian cuisine with a tapas-style twist from the former Medé Restaurant + Wine Bar site on Oxford Street. Designed to encourage sharing and exploration, the menu features bite-sized bocconi such as carbonara cannoli, lasagna skewers and cacio e pepe tartine alongside larger-format pasta dishes, premium mains and house-made desserts including chocolate-coated gelato sticks. Backed by a 100-bottle wine list heavy on Italian varietals and a slick cocktail offering, Romeo blends traditional Italian flavours with modern presentation in a warm, community-minded setting inspired by Simone’s son, Romeo.
