Sunny Side Sandwiches has officially crossed the river, opening a brand-new East Brisbane outpost and bringing its cult-favourite sangas to a bigger audience. Taking over the former Barra Boys site on Stanley Street, the new location pairs Sunny Side’s signature bright aesthetic with expanded shaded seating a window into the bakery where its daily-made shokupan bread is crafted. The menu features all of the Windsor originals – including the soft scrambled egg breakfast sandwich, panko chicken schnitty sandwich (plus spicy and vegetarian spins), Reuben and panko snapper sando – alongside sides, cold brew, fresh OJ and an East Brisbane-exclusive shokupan cinnamon scroll.
