Anyday capped a landmark year with the opening of The French Exit in 2025, a Parisian-style bistro anchoring its long-planned Mary Street dining precinct in Brisbane City. Shaped by the heritage architecture of the former Coal Board Building, the group’s first French restaurant balances classic bistro staples – from steak frites and escargot to creme brulee – with modern touches, premium local produce and a convivial, come-as-you-are atmosphere designed for repeat visits. Backed by a French-leaning wine and cocktail program and interiors by Tamsin Johnson, The French Exit reflects Anyday’s broader ambition to create city venues that feel transportive yet familiar, and to encourage Brisbane diners to linger, return and make the city a destination once again.
