Vacancy Coffee, a cosy cafe tucked inside Woolloongabba’s Moreton Rubber Works Building, is the creation of first-time hospitality owners Tyler and Hailey – a couple who swapped established careers for a bean change. Inspired by their travels through Vietnam and the minimalist cafe cultures of Korea and Japan, they’ve crafted a warm, mid-century-inspired space that doubles as a listening lounge, filled with vinyl records and genuine community spirit. Serving ST. ALi coffee, matcha and locally made treats from House of Dough, Vacancy is simple, sincere and unmistakably personal – a reflection of its owners’ love of art, music and connection. Above all, it’s a welcoming hub where everyone has room to just be — a cafe built on creativity, comfort and heart.
