The Toowong-based providore, owned and operated by Greek-Australian Toula Manias, looks to give Brisbane foodies a taste of Greek’s culinary traditions and time-honoured flavours via a curated selection of pantry essentials sourced from local and international producers. Shoppers can fill their baskets with an assortment of premium Greek products, from olive oils, herbs and cheeses to pasta, cured meats, sweets and Toula’s own marinated olives, sold by weight. There’s also a freezer section filled to the brim with ready-to-cook meals, including traditional souvlaki, pastitsio and moussaka. All of the products sold at Yiayia’s Pantry has been selected with ‘meraki‘ (deep care and soul) and sold with an ethos based in ‘filotimo’, a traditional Greek value that honours others through generosity and kindnes.
