Australasian Dance Collective returns in 2026 with Code of Conduct, a bold new work that trades the traditional theatre for a Brisbane office tower.
Set on Level 20 of 300 George Street, this darkly comic, site-specific production unfolds high above the CBD, embedding audiences inside the machinery of corporate life.
Following the sold-out success of Relic in 2025, Australasian Dance Collective once again pushes beyond the stage, transforming glass walls and fluorescent-lit corridors into an immersive performance environment.
At its core, Code of Conduct is a sharp critique of ambition, exhaustion and replaceability. Playing on the phrase “work like a dog”, the production draws uncanny parallels between canine obedience and human productivity, asking what happens when our worth is measured against the impossible efficiency of technology. Contemporary dance and virtuosic live music combine in this striking experience, exploring burnout and our devotion to labour in the corporate world.
Uncomfortably close to home, Code of Conduct offers a new perspective on the cost of keeping up.
