Australasian Dance Collective’s 2026 season will hit new heights with the return of THREE, a high-impact triple bill that has become one of the company’s most anticipated platforms. Showing at Brisbane Powerhouse from July 15–18, the fourth iteration of THREE brings together two world premieres and a Queensland-first from three of Australia’s most compelling contemporary choreographers.
Amber McCartney, known for crafting works that blur the boundaries between human and alien, rejoins the program with a bold new commission. Her choreography is visceral and charged with intensity, promising a gripping new addition to the Australasian Dance Collective’s repertoire.
Brisbane audiences will also experience guest artist Harrison Ritchie-Jones’ acclaimed duet CUDDLE for the first time in Queensland, performed with Michaela Tancheff. Pulsing with absurdity, humour and physicality, the high-octane work draws viewers into an immersive collision of sound and movement.
Completing the triptych is an emotional new creation from acclaimed Wiradjuri choreographer Joel Bray. Celebrated for his rich storytelling and deeply human perspective, Joel’s work invites reflection on identity and connection.
