This September, Fortitude Valley transforms into a mecca for music discovery as BIGSOUND – the southern hemisphere’s biggest music industry event – returns to Brisbane, marking 25 years of Australia’s leading music industry gathering. Across four jam-packed nights, more than 100 of the most exciting new acts from Australia and beyond will showcase their sounds across 15 buzzing Valley venues, with just one wristband granting access to it all.
Featured in the 2026 line-up is Jem Cassar-Daley, one of Australia’s most compelling new voices, blending indie-pop hooks with emotionally rich story telling, and the explosive blend of unapologetic noise and soft melodies of Special Features. Also on the bill is Adelaide’s charming folk outfit Any Young Mechanic, afrobeats and soul artist Bala Rontu, rock n roll Australiana blue-punk group Stimpies, and many more.
Genres spanning punk, pop, indie-rock, folk, country, electronic and everything in between make BIGSOUND a magnet for music fans and industry tastemakers chasing the sounds of tomorrow. With past alumni including Flume, Lime Cordiale, The Jungle Giants and Vera Blue, BIGSOUND has long been the place where future icons take flight.
