QPAC’s annual Clancestry festival will return from July 30 to August 8, bringing a vibrant celebration of First Nations arts, culture and storytelling to South Bank. Since launching in 2013, the festival has become a much-loved fixture on Brisbane’s cultural calendar, showcasing established and emerging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists across music, theatre, dance, workshops and family-friendly events.

The 2026 program features a stellar line-up of performances, including Jessica Mauboy’s intimate cabaret-style show The Story of Me, a live concert from Troy Cassar-Daley accompanied by a string quartet, and Yothu Yindi’s 40th-anniversary celebration – a special one-night-only performance that’s set to light up QPAC’s Concert Hall. Audiences can also experience Dale Woodbridge-Brown’s circus production Camp Culture, the powerful Ya’Djin Spirit Women, ILBIJERRI Theatre Company’s Gunawarra Re-Creation and the language, story and song-filled Barragga Yangga.

Beyond the ticketed program, Clancestry’s free Festival Ground will transform the South Bank Cultural Forecourt into a hub of live music, food, markets and cultural experiences. Highlights include the First Gathering ceremony hosted by Tony Armstrong, the return of the GATHAA First Nations Markets and Clancestry for Kids. The popular Mob Music stage will also return, featuring free performances from artists including LanGwij, ZIPPORAH and rapper Dan Rankine (aka trials), as well as a one-night-only set from supergroup Three Fires (Jungaji, Radical Son and Candice Lorrae).

Browse the program and book tickets via the QPAC website.
