Deadly Feast

Brisbane restaurant Dark Shepherd welcomes an exciting collaboration with First Nations chef and founder of Three Little Birds, Chris Jordan. The exclusive event will see Chris step into the kitchen with Dark Shepherd’s head chef Dianna Jorgo to reimagine, transform and fuse Mediterranean flavours with traditional Indigenous ingredients, revealing the untapped potential of Australia’s native food heritage.

Taking place on Thursday September 25 alongside the launch of Brisbane Festival’s drone show Nieergoo: Spirit of the Whale, diners will experience a captivating multi-course menu with highlights including taramasalata with fermented oora and woodfired pillow bread, kingfish namas topped with lemon myrtle and curry-myrtle sorbet, saltbush lame dressed in native-thyme oil, and traditional galaktoboureko with smoke paperbark custard, macadamia praline and native lime siropi (syrup). All ingredients for the Deadly Feast have been hand-selected and sourced directly across the Yugembeh Bundjalaung nations and GubbiGubbi Country, ensuring that each plate is a vessel of storytelling and shared wisdom.
