Dine BNE City: Fireside

Can you feel it in the air? That perceptible chill that is slowly filtering into our late evenings and early mornings? That’s winter approaching, which means that soon Brisbane will come alive for one of its biggest (and most beloved) culinary events, Dine BNE City.

This June, Dine BNE City will make its triumphant return – bringing a month-long program of exclusive offers and special events. But before Dine BNE City takes flight, foodies are encouraged to gather at the grounds of St. Stephen’s Cathedral for Fireside, Dine BNE City’s hugely popular all-inclusive outdoor dining and launch event.

Taking place on Friday May 30, Fireside will showcase some of Brisbane City’s newest and most exciting culinary players. Guests can feast on a curated menu of standout dishes from the likes of Dark Shepherd, Doughcraft, Walter’s Steakhouse, and The Brasserie and The Fifty Six at Naldham House.

Expect dishes like sausage, mushroom and taleggio rissotto by Doughcraft, lamb souvlaki from Dark Shepherd, beef cheek bourguignon pithivier by The Brasserie, as well as baked blue swimmer crab in its shell with calamansi by The Fifty Six. For dessert, Walter’s Steakhouse will be serving up a crumble station with variations like rhubarb and strawberry and Dutch apple, accompanied by dollops of schlag and vanilla custard. As for the sips, Club Felix will keep the drinks flowing with perfectly crafted cocktails, a well-curated wine list and a selection of beers, while a stellar line-up of local musicians and DJs set the vibe with live entertainment all night long.
