Hurtigruten Nordic Film Festival

The Hurtigruten Nordic Film Festival returns to Palace Cinemas this winter with a curated showcase of the best new cinema from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden – offering Brisbane audiences a warm escape into award-winning dramas, dark comedies and acclaimed festival favourites. Ahead of the full program launch in mid June, highlights include Icelandic family dramedy The Love That Remains, starring scene-stealing sheepdog Panda; Butterfly, led by Sentimental Value star Renate Reinsve; Göteborg Film Festival winner The Last Resort; Finnish political satire The Kidnapping of a President; and stylish Swedish psychological thriller Doctor Glas. Expect a season of acclaimed filmmakers, breakout talent and standout Nordic storytelling across Palace Cinemas this July and August.
