King St Mother’s Day Market

King St is lighting up for the return of its ever-popular Mother’s Day Market on Friday May 8. The Bowen Hills precinct will transform into a twilight shopping destination, inviting Brisbane locals to browse, snack and settle in for an easygoing evening with Mother’s Day gifting front of mind.

In collaboration with The Market Folk, the one-night-only market will feature a curated line-up of local artists, makers and creatives. Expect hand-painted ceramics, delicate jewellery, original artworks, homewares and beautifully scented candles, with plenty of thoughtful gifts in the mix.

From 4:00–9:00 pm, live music will drift through the street as stalls spill out along the precinct, alongside live portraits, creative experiences and a few surprise giveaways along the way.

Hot tip – arrive hungry! There are plenty of delicious food options so you can snack and shop, from street-style eats to bustling restaurants – think pizza at Il Verde, burgers at Super Combo, Japanese eats at Mista Boo and more.
