Brisbane Quarter will bloom this winter with Love Follows a Line – a vibrant, inflatable floral-art installation bringing a burst of colour and creativity to the city from July 3 to August 16. Created by artist Matthew Aberline in collaboration with The Beautiful and Useful Studio, the striking artwork transforms the ground floor atrium of 300 George Street into a luminous garden of oversized, inflatable flowers – playful, surreal and impossible to miss.
While visually bold and joyfully oversized, Love Follows a Line also offers a moment of reflection, exploring the values we inherit and pass on through families and generations – from love and kindness to patience and care.
To mark the occasion, Brisbane Quarter’s restaurants are leaning into the theme with a series of limited-edition food and drink specials inspired by the installation’s bright, botanical energy. At Persone, you’ll find the Pink Flowers cocktail – a blushing blend of Belvedere vodka, elderflower, lime and housemade rhubarb syrup. Brisbane Phoenix is serving a Hendrick’s Blossom G&T, garnished with cucumber ribbon for a refreshing floral twist, alongside an Iceberg Asparagus side dish that’s chilled and crisp with fresh seasonal flair. Phat Boy brings a tropical touch with its tapioca pudding dessert, topped with lychee and coconut ice-cream. Meanwhile, Tenya’s Cherry Blossom Peach Spritz is the perfect sparkling sip for a sunny afternoon.
Whether you’re swinging by on your lunch break or planning a weekend wander, Love Follows a Line is another reason to linger a little longer in the heart of the CBD.
