Brisbane Quarter is welcoming Lunar New Year with colour, movement and plenty of reasons to gather around the table, ushering in the Year of the Horse with a precinct-wide celebration that blends tradition with contemporary dining.

On Tuesday February 17, the riverside precinct will come alive as lion dancers weave through Brisbane Quarter at 12:45 pm and again at 7:00 pm, filling the space with rhythm and energy. Glowing lanterns and a striking blossom tree installation will frame the festivities, creating a vibrant backdrop for visitors keen to soak up the atmosphere and welcome good fortune for the year ahead.

At the heart of the celebrations is Brisbane Phoenix, leading the festivities with a series of Lunar New Year banquet menus designed for sharing and abundance. The Year of the Horse offerings showcase premium seafood, classic Cantonese favourites and symbolic dishes, with banquet options starting from $108 per person for groups of four or more. For those looking to elevate the occasion, limited-edition Hennessy VSOP and XO banquet experiences are available by pre-order for a short two-week window. Adding to the excitement, Brisbane Phoenix will also host a vibrant lion dance on Monday February 16, Lunar New Year’s Eve.

For a more relaxed celebration, Annamese brings bold Vietnamese flavours to the table. With its contemporary take on classic dishes and easygoing energy, it’s an inviting place to gather with family, friends or colleagues and mark the Year of the Horse together.

Whether you’re drawn by spectacle, tradition or a standout meal, Brisbane Quarter is setting the scene for a festive start to the Lunar New Year.
