Matey’s: Diny & George at Brisbane Quarter

Brisbane Quarter is turning up the fun this Brisbane Festival with a splash of colour, play and plenty of personality. From August 19 to October 2, the Atrium on Podium Level 1 will come alive with Matey’s: Diny & George, the latest large-scale installation from internationally celebrated artists Craig & Karl.

Presented as part of the Craig & Karl: Public Art Trail for Brisbane Festival, the vibrant duo joins a citywide takeover of inflatables that will energise The City with colour, movement and joy. At Brisbane Quarter, larger-than-life characters Diny and George are set to become the precinct’s newest companions, sparking curiosity, delight and plenty of photo opportunities.

Adding another layer of wow, Craig & Karl have teamed up with digital artist David McLeod to create an animated work inspired by Brisbane’s sunshine, river and buzzing culture. The result is an immersive artwork that echoes the festival’s energy and creativity.
