Step inside the extraordinary mind of Leonardo da Vinci as Da Vinci Machines: Inventions brought to life brings the visionary’s inventions to life across the City of Moreton Bay’s vibrant museums. From August 9 to November 2, visitors can explore a captivating collection of 60 machines and mechanical marvels, each meticulously reconstructed from Leonardo da Vinci’s original sketches.
On loan from the Museum of Leonardo da Vinci in Florence, this interactive exhibition offers a rare opportunity to engage with the genius who shaped centuries of innovation. From early designs of flying machines to intricate engineering tools and replicas of his famed artwork, the showcase reveals how da Vinci’s curiosity bridged art, science and imagination in ways that continue to influence the modern world.
The free exhibition will be showcased across Bribie Island Seaside Museum, Pine Rivers Heritage Museum and Redcliffe Museum, inviting visitors to get up close with da Vinci’s work through hands-on models and informative displays. At North Lakes Library, a full-scale replica of one of his iconic flying machines adds to the wonder. A series of public events and workshops will also accompany the exhibition at each location on select dates.
Whether you’re a history buff, a budding engineer or simply curious about the man behind the Mona Lisa, Da Vinci Machines offers a fascinating glimpse into one of the greatest minds in history.
