Not Dark Yet: Peter Hudson

Sunshine Coast based artist, Archibald Prize Finalist and three-time Brisbane Portrait Finalist, Peter Hudson returns to Mitchell Fine Art for his fourth solo exhibition Not Dark Yet. In his new exhibition, Peter showcases the power of the natural landscape, exploring the quiet dialogue between Earth and sky.

“The majority of my work is always landscape related. The aesthetic, the mystery, the seen and unseen, and the ‘primal intelligence of nature’ keeps me working on what feels like the same picture over and over again.” Peter says. 

Not Dark Yet ultimately celebrates the mystery of existence and the profound connectivity that links the terrestrial world and the stars above. Peter’s works are represented in National and regional collections including Parliament House in Brisbane and the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra.
