A genre-defying concert experience is coming to Queensland this August. Through a collaboration between Camerata Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra and Brisbane-born international keyboardist Anthony Romaniuk, Old. New. Borrowed. Blue. invites guests on a vibrant musical journey spanning centuries, styles and traditions.
From Back to Brubeck, the performance unites classical, jazz, contemporary and improvised music alongside Romaniuk’s own compositions and arrangements on keyboard and harpsichord. Inspired by reflections on tradition, reinvention and personal expression from his own wedding preparations, Romaniuk’s distinctive voice drives the performance to celebrate musical conversations between past and present.
As one of the most distinctive collaborations of the season, Old. New. Borrowed. Blue. will enjoy a three day run, spending one night each at QPAC Concert Hall in Brisbane, RPAC’s Concert Hall in Cleveland and The Armitage at The Empire in Toowoomba.
