Brisbane is set for a night of rhythm, colour and pure musical joy when trailblazing pianist and composer Roberto Fonseca takes over The Princess Theatre for one night only, arriving with his full seven-piece band in tow.
Returning to Australia for the first time in more than a decade, Roberto Fonseca lands as one of the most influential figures in contemporary Cuban music. A Grammy nominee with a career spanning more than 20 years, he first rose to global prominence through his work with the legendary Buena Vista Social Club, before carving out a fearless solo path. His genre-defying sound weaves Afro-Cuban roots through jazz, funk and global influences, driven by dazzling piano work and an energetic stage presence.
This Brisbane performance forms part of his La Gran Diversión tour, inspired by the golden era of Cuban music and the glamour of 1930s Parisian cabarets. Expect punchy horn sections, irresistible rhythms and a night overflowing with celebration and movement.
Performed in an intimate theatre setting, this is a rare chance to experience an artist whose warmth and upbeat joy light up the room long after the final note.
