St Lucia Block Party

St Lucia’s leafy green Great Court will be home to a free, family-friendly block party as part of Brisbane Festival’s 2026 program. It’s the perfect excuse to get the family together for an outdoorsy Father’s Day activity that will keep everyone entertained. 

Roam around UQ’s facilities with tours exploring the UQ Art Museum, Anthropology Museum, RD Milns Antiquities Museum, Fryer Library and more. Once you’ve finished exploring, stock up on snacks from the food and drink trucks, and roll out a blanket in front of the Brisbane Festival stage. 

Soak up tunes from Feelin’ the Groove, performed by The UQ Saxophone Ensemble, as well as live music from Cali Rd and Sue Ray. 

For folks looking for something more hands-on, there will be interactive demonstrations and workshops to get your crafternoon on.
