Woody, Buzz and all of the toys from Andy’s room are heading to QPAC for a big-screen experience with a symphonic twist. Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story in Concert is taking over Concert Hall on Saturday April 11, bringing the all-time-favourite film to life with the power of a full orchestra.
In this live-to-screen experience, the original Toy Story (1995) film will play in full while the Queensland Symphony Orchestra performs Randy Newman’s iconic score in real time, under the baton of Nicholas Buc. Expect to hear and see all of the familiar musical moments – including unmistakably charming ‘You’ve Got a Friend in Me’ – as well as the film’s iconic characters, from the lanky and likeable cowboy Woody and fearless space ranger Buzz Lightyear.
Celebrating 31 years since Toy Story first hit screens, the live concert is a fitting way to revisit a favourite – or introduce it to a new generation.
