Step into a world of imagination when Wonderstruck takes over Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) from June 28 to October 6. This free, all-ages exhibition features more than 100 works by 70 leading artists from Australia and around the world, transforming the gallery into a playful, immersive celebration of creativity, colour and curiosity.
Spanning six themed chapters, Wonderstruck invites visitors to explore the many ways art can surprise, delight and inspire. Highlights include Yayoi Kusama’s iconic Obliteration Room, Pip & Pop’s glitter-filled Rainbow Bridge, and Tobias Putrih’s towering cardboard arch, Connection. You’ll also encounter hyperreal sculptures by Patricia Piccinini and Ron Mueck, and Michael Parekōwhai’s unforgettable seal balancing a baby grand piano.
Don’t miss the Wonderstruck Festival on opening weekend, June 28–29, with two full days of free, family-friendly fun including hands-on workshops, pop-up performances, artist talks, storytelling and live music.
