Cremorne Theatre, QPACCnr Grey and Melbourne St, South BrisbaneDirections

As part of World Science Festival Brisbane, Moss Piglet invites families to zoom right in on one of nature’s most extraordinary survivors. Created by Windmill Production Company, this playful, fast-moving theatre experience transforms the microscopic world into a big, imaginative adventure for curious kids and their grown-ups.

Perfect for families with children aged five to ten, Moss Piglet introduces audiences to the tardigrade – tiny creatures known as ‘moss piglets’ famous for surviving extreme heat, icy cold and even outer space. Through bold visuals, humour and inventive storytelling, young viewers are whisked from petri dishes to volcanic depths, frozen landscapes and far beyond, discovering how resilience comes in the smallest packages.

Equal parts entertaining and educational, the show translates science into moments of wonder that feel exciting rather than instructional. Running across Saturday March 28 and Sunday March 29, Moss Piglet is a fun-filled pick for families looking to explore World Science Festival together, celebrating the surprising strength found in the smallest of things.
