Fireside, Friday May 30
Kicking off Brisbane’s biggest culinary event of the year is Fireside, Dine BNE City’s hugely popular open-air launch event. Held on Friday May 30 outside the St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Fireside invites diners to dive into a delicious spread from some of The City’s top venues, giving a tasty teaser for the month ahead. With an illuminated cathedral as the backdrop, guests will savour a curated menu from venues like Dark Shepherd, Doughcraft, Walter’s Steakhouse, and The Brasserie and The Fifty Six at Naldham House. Expect show-stopping bites like beef cheek bourguignon pithivier from The Brasserie and baked blue swimmer crab in its shell with calamansi from The Fifty Six, rounded out by a decadent dessert crumble bar by Walter’s – think Dutch apple topped with schlag and vanilla custard. Club Felix will keep the drinks flowing with perfectly crafted sips, while a stellar line-up of local musicians and DJs set the vibe with live entertainment all night long. Let’s Do Lunch, June 1–30
This June, ditch the sad desk lunch and level up your weekdays with Let’s Do Lunch – a delicious excuse to get out and enjoy $25 and $35 mid-week lunch deals across Brisbane City. With over 35 tasty offers on the table, there’s something to satisfy every craving without breaking the bank. Little Miss Sunshine is dishing up a shawarma and beer for $35, Gather Bistro is pouring beers alongside juicy burgers for the same price, and Bar Pacino is slinging whole pizzas and drinks for just $25. Doughcraft’s pinza and beer combo also clocks in at $25, making it a serious contender for your new lunch go-to. Italian lovers can dig into Massimo’s $35 lasagne lunch, enjoy pasta and wine at Persone or channel coastal vibes with Settimo’s $35 Amalfi Lunch Escape. Supper Club is your invitation to explore Brisbane City’s vibrant dining scene after dark, with specially curated menus, indulgent dinner deals and one-of-a-kind culinary experiences lighting up the month of June. Diners can enjoy a special mini banquet for $69 per person at Donna Chang, dive into lobster brioche and bubbles for $30 at Hibiscus Bar & Terrace, and savour the $60 yakitori showcase at Boom Boom Room. Newcomer Mulga Bill’s will be serving up The Paella Plate at $80 for two people during June, while those with a big appetite can feast on unlimited Brazilian churrasco at Navala Churrascaria. Keep the good times rolling with Bar Safari, where you can discover a raft of unbeatable food and drink pairings across some of The City’s top restaurants and bars. Kick things off at Hellcat Maggie Laneway Bar & Kitchen with a burger, beer and fries for just $25, or sink your teeth into a wagyu beef sando with a Moscow mule at The Charles’. At Naldham House, Club Felix is shaking things up with its decadent Three Martini Supper for $49 per person, while The Terrace is keeping it classic with a $30 burger and beer combo. Urban Wine Walk, Saturday June 28
Whether you’re a seasoned vino connoisseur or a wine novice that simply enjoys a glass in good company, self-guided wine trail Urban Wine Walk is a great way to experience The City while discovering new wines from some of Australia’s most dynamic producers. Returning to Brisbane on Saturday June 28 exclusively for Dine BNE City, Urban Wine Walk will see a number of The City’s best bars and dining spots transform into an urban cellar door for one day only. Ticket-holders choose which venue they start from, then set out on foot to follow the curated wine adventure, strolling from venue to venue sampling top drops from a stellar line-up of all-Australian winemakers. This exclusive edition of Urban Wine Walk will see Club Felix, Embassy Hotel, Milquetoast, Miss Demeanour, Port Office Hotel, Storia on Queen, The Gresham and Walter’s Steakhouse & Wine Bar pouring vinos across the afternoon. Dine BNE City special events, various dates
Alongside the stellar deals and special menus, Dine BNE City is serving up an exclusive series of in-venue events across June. Never been to Naldham House? The Naldham Voyage (June 11, 12, 18 & 19) is the perfect introduction – a progressive dining adventure across all four venues in one night, priced at $195 per person. The Boom Boom Room is also hosting a one-off International Sushi Day Dinner on Wednesday June 18, with the chefs curating an exquisite banquet of sushi, ngiri and sashimi, with sake pairings available. Truffle season gets its moment too, with Settimo plating up a decadent Il Tartufo feast on Friday June 13, while a one-night-only showcase awaits at the 5-Course Truffle Dinner at The Fifty Six on Wednesday June 25.
