Eat Street Northshore is flipping the script this Mother’s Day, opening the gates from 12:00 pm for a rare daytime takeover. For one Sunday only, the popular riverside dining and entertainment destination will swap its usual night-time buzz for a full day of food, drinks and experiences – all geared towards celebrating Mum.

If the usual Mother’s Day playbook isn’t cutting it, Eat Street has you sorted with ‘Brisbane’s Longest Lunch’.

On Sunday May 10, every mum will be handed a complimentary glass of sparkling on arrival, before the real fun begins – deciding what to eat first. With more than 60 micro-restaurants and bars in one place, there’s no single way to do it – just a delicious list of options and the freedom to move between them.

Start the day strong and seek out Eat Street’s newest foodie arrivals – Sea Salt is serving up fresh North Queensland lobster rolls, while Gnocchi Bros. is going all in on crispy, deep-fried gnocchi. They join a stacked line-up of Eat Street favourites, spanning global street food, comfort eats and indulgent desserts, so there’s something to suit every taste.

Beyond the food and drinks, there’s plenty of hands-on fun for mum and the whole family. A make-your-own bouquet station with Blooms by Ella will be running across the weekend, while Paint & Sip sessions on Sunday offer a creative pause for mums (and a chance to sit down for a minute). Across the precinct, live music and roving performers will keep the energy high from day through to night, with sets from Levi Xander, Route 33 and Sex & Chocolate alongside a steady stream of local acts.

Eat Street Northshore managing director Mark Power said Mother’s Day at Eat Street is all about taking the pressure off mums.

“No cooking, no cleaning, no mess – just good food, an easy atmosphere and the family together somewhere local they love,” he said.

Visit the Eat Street Northshore website to pre-book your tickets. Don’t forget – there’s free parking and the CityCat terminal is just 100 metres from the eastern entrance.
