Luxe chicken nuggets topped with caviar, Japanese carbonara udon, birria-style duck pancakes and a Sichuan-spiced take on the humble kebab will be drawing hungry crowds to Brisbane Powerhouse this winter, with Night Feast revealing its biggest and most flavour-packed program yet.

Returning from July 29 to August 23, Night Feast presented by American Express will once again transform Brisbane Powerhouse into an after-dark playground of food, art and entertainment. Now in its fifth season and making its winter debut, the beloved event is bringing together more than 20 restaurants, bars and eateries for four weeks of festival-exclusive dishes, immersive experiences and open-air feasting.

As always, the food is the star of the show. Dine’m After Dark, by Wine & Dine’m Catering, is returning with its Luxe Nuggs – crispy golden chicken nuggets topped with caviar and served in miniature caviar tins. The Donna Chang team will also be on hand with Donna’s Kebab, layering crispy Sichuan-spiced pork, fresh accompaniments and soft flatbread into one mouth-watering package.

Among the newcomers is Gold Coast restaurant Norté, which will make its Night Feast debut with a smoked Mooloolaba prawn and avocado churro, pairing sweet local seafood with crisp golden pastry and smoky Latin American flavours. Brisbane institution Blackbird will make its debut with BFC – crunchy fried chicken coated in quandong chilli caramel and finished with lemon-myrtle aioli, and Clarence will kick off its first Night Feast menu with the Clarence Snack Pack – loaded fries with confit duck, peppercorn sauce and curds. Ruby, My Dear is delivering comfort in a bowl with its Japanese carbonara udon, combining thick, chewy noodles and a rich, velvety sauce. Meanwhile, AUNTY is putting its own spin on birria, stuffing braised duck leg into delicate pancakes and serving them with a flavour-packed duck consomme for dipping.

Night Feast favourites Burn City Smokers will return with its peach-tea-glazed pork belly, and Hoy Pinoy will be luring hungry diners with its Salpicao Na Baka beef. Dessert icons Gelato Messina will again be delivering its famed dessert theatrics with Bisch, Please – a decadent combination of Biscoff mousse, baked-cheesecake gelato and caramelised white chocolate.

The festival’s most expansive dining line-up to date also includes new names like Poca Madre Mexicana, VICI Italian, Pilloni and The 203, alongside returning favourites Cálida Steak & Bar, Central, La Mano, Wonderbao and Siam Smash House. Contemporary Japanese will again be dished up at the new Sapporo Izakaya by NONDA – the festival’s only dedicated seated dining experience.

Those looking to enjoy Night Feast with a few extra perks, the American Express Garden Lounge is returning as an exclusive retreat for AMEX Card Members and their invited guests. Complete with a private bar and comfortable surrounds, it’s an ideal spot to pause between food-fuelled laps of the festival.

Adding another layer to this year’s offering is Better Off Red, a one-day-only long lunch taking over the riverside lawn on Sunday August 16. Created in collaboration with Bosco and Blackbird, the immersive feast will pair flame-led dishes, premium cuts and d’Arenberg wines with live performances from opera singers Katie Stenzel and Jason Barry-Smith, contemporary harpist ELSKA and acclaimed dance company The Farm.

Beyond the food, a packed music and arts program will add another layer to the Night Feast experience. Visitors can explore large-scale installations including Amigo & Amigo’s interactive Ignite and Jonny Niesche’s immersive Total Vibration, catch Stephanie Lake Company’s dance work VISTA, settle into the La Scala Listening Lounge for curated vinyl sessions and join chef Savva Savas for a live edition of Three Food Memories.

Entry to Night Feast is free, with food and drinks available for purchase throughout the festival. To view the full line-up, visit the Night Feast website.
