The best cocktail books don’t just tell you what to pour – they tell a story. Beudi’s first cocktail book just happens to tell one that tastes unmistakably Australian. Launching nationally on Wednesday July 15, Beudi Cocktail Book: Discover Australia in 30 Cocktails is a collection of 30 original recipes inspired by native ingredients, iconic Australian flavours and the Gold Coast agave brand’s distinctly laid-back approach to entertaining.
Designed for bartenders and backyard hosts alike, Beudi Cocktail Book: Discover Australia in 30 Cocktails invites readers to shake, stir and sip their way through an Australian take on cocktail culture.
Built around Beudi’s two signature spirits – Beudi Blanco and Beudi Margi Spirit – the recipes range from quick, approachable drinks to more technical creations, all with a local twist. You’ll find inventive pours like the Paperbark Paloma, alongside the Smashed Avo Margi, while a chapter dedicated to nostalgic Australian icons gives childhood favourites including Paddle Pops and Red Frogs an adults-only makeover.
The recipes are the brainchild of Beudi co-founder and Rosella’s Bar owner Jack Connor, who says the project grew into something much bigger than a simple recipe collection.
“This started as a way to get the recipes out of my head and into bars. Somewhere along the way, it turned into a full snapshot of what Beudi tastes like – fun, a bit nostalgic, but still serious about flavour.”
Spread across five delicious chapters, each cocktail includes build time, standard drink count, glassware recommendations, preparation notes and method, making the book as practical as it is beautiful. Accompanying the recipes is photography by long-time Beudi collaborator Jessie Prince, pairing vibrant cocktail portraits with sweeping Australian landscapes, from red earth and fields of Billy Buttons to a lone dingo crossing the road at sundown.
Every drink begins with one of Beudi’s foundational spirits. Beudi Blanco is made from 100 percent Blue Weber agave, fermented, distilled and bottled in Australia, while Beudi Margi Spirit blends Australian-distilled agave with a house-made Sunrise Lime liqueur featuring native citrus sourced through Indigenous-owned social enterprise Bush to Bowl.
The Beudi Cocktail Book: Discover Australia in 30 Cocktails is available from Beudi’s website and selected bottle shops for $50, or $110 as a gift box paired with 200 ml bottles of Beudi Blanco and Beudi Margi Spirit.
