Has it been a minute since you’ve visited Everton Plaza? We’ve got two great reasons to book in a visit, with emerging suburban shaper Craft Village Group recently bringing European-inspired Alfi Eatery & Bar and frozen yoghurt hotspot Yo-Chi to its thriving dining and lifestyle precinct. The openings arrive as Everton Plaza celebrates ten years of food, drink and community – here’s everything we know …
When it comes to shaping Brisbane’s suburbs, the team at Craft Village Group are dab hands at establishing vibrant suburban centres. Park Lane at Everton Plaza is a prime example of the group’s curatorial talent, assembling a diverse mix of operators to create one of the most popular hubs in the city’s north.
The precinct welcomed two exciting new tenants in recent months, with self-service yoghurt hotspot Yo-Chi and Alfi Eatery & Bar being added to Everton Plaza’s dining offering.
Officially open to the public on Thursday October 22, Alfi Eatery & Bar is the brand-new Italian-inspired flagship from Brisbane-based hospitality operator Ghanem Group. The 350-seat venue offers a relaxed space inspired by the effortless charm of European summers. The largest venue at Everton Plaza, the restaurant features a spacious open kitchen and a picturesque patio that flows out into a lush al fresco courtyard – perfect for large groups and family gatherings (so consider your nonna’s cousins invited).
The casual menu – crafted by Palermo-born head chef Roberto D’Anna – is packed with Mediterranean favourites, including woodfired pizzas, seafood and fresh salads, while the drinks list boasts signature spritzes, crisp wines and a selection of aperitivo, with something for those who want a simple feast or to embrace la dolce vita a little longer.
Ghanem Group hospitality director Adonis Ghanem said Alfi Eatery & Bar was a concept the group had been keeping close to its chest for several years, with Craft Village Group’s vision for Park Lane at Everton Plaza paving the way for a style of cuisine the group had been eager to add to its portfolio.
“We’re excited to be joining Everton Plaza, which is already a wonderful precinct with fantastic venues and operators,” Adonis said.
Adding to the Everton Plaza arrivals is cult-classic yoghurt spot Yo-Chi, which opened earlier this year next to 5 Boroughs and Corbett & Claude. Designed as a positive community space for late-night socialising, the popular frozen dessert concept lets Everton Park locals satisfy their sugar cravings close to home – giving guests the choice of flavours such as salted butterscotch, cinnamon banana and organic acai, plus an array of toppings to pile high.
The much-loved brand is a welcome addition to Everton Plaza, with Craft Village Group CEO Miranda Wilson saying the focus is on “creating customer-first and experience-led environments”, adding: “As a community’s needs evolve, so do we.”
Both venues sit at the heart of the plaza’s recently developed food and beverage district, Park Lane, which Craft Village Group has tailored to contemporary lifestyles and which already features a variety of exciting restaurants including Bird’s Next, Mai Gai, Tetto Rooftop Bar and more.
