Spring is set to bloom in spectacular style as the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers returns from September 12 to October 6, bringing four fun-filled weekends of blossoms, bites and good times to Queensland’s Garden City. Now in its 76th year, the beloved festival is gearing up to welcome nearly half a million visitors with a vibrant program of floral displays, live music, regional eats and brand-new events.

This year, Toowoomba’s iconic gardens – including Queens Park Botanic Gardens and Laurel Bank Park – will once again be a visual feast, joined by stunning private gardens that will open to the public. The festival’s packed 2025 program also introduces four new signature events that add fresh flair to the floral fun.

On the first weekend (September 12–14) the city will spring to life with Floral Friday – a city-wide floral takeover where locals and visitors alike are encouraged to wear their brightest florals as the town transforms with eye-popping installations, decorations and carnival vibes. That weekend also sees the debut of the Lawn Party, an elegant evening of garden games, floral cocktails and springtime charm.

From September 19–21, the Grand Central Floral Parade returns in full glory, marching through the streets with this year’s theme, ‘Floral Frenzy’. Furry friends get their moment in the spotlight at the Paw Parade in Queens Park, while classic carnival favourites like the Ferris wheel, sideshow alley, twilight tours and foodie trails keep the energy blooming across the weekend.

The delicious debut of FEASTival takes place over September 27–28, dishing up two full days of regional eats, sweet treats and local music among the leafy surrounds of Queens Park. Over the long weekend from October 3–6, the brand-new Weekend Table series will bring the festival to a spectacular close with various long-table dining experiences across the Toowoomba region – including the indulgent Cake Date on Saturday October 4.

Full event details and tickets will be available from Tuesday July 1. Head to the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers website for more.
