Mudgeeraba’s transformation into one of the Gold Coast’s most exciting hospitality pockets is gathering pace, and its next chapter is already under construction.
Set to open in early 2027, TEAK Mudgeeraba will introduce a new lifestyle precinct to Railway Street, bringing together food, drink, retail and wellness across 14 purpose-built tenancies. With cranes already on site, it’s shaping up to be a significant addition to the suburb’s steadily growing dining scene.
Taking pride of place as the anchor tenant is a familiar name for Gold Coast diners. After more than 50 years at its Merrimac home, the Australian German Club is preparing to relaunch its much-loved restaurant and beer hall in a new, expanded setting. The club will be bringing its traditional European hospitality to a larger, more contemporary space within the precinct.
Due to open alongside the broader development in 2027, the new venue will seat more than 200 guests and place a strong emphasis on live music, events and community gatherings throughout the year. On the menu, diners can expect the return of classics including schnitzels, sausages, pretzels and pork knuckle, alongside a selection of familiar crowd-pleasers for those easing in.
The drinks offering is set to match the scale of the space, with a 30-metre bar pouring a mix of local and international beers, complemented by wine, cocktails and non-alcoholic options.
For diners who have already embraced Zum Schilling – the club’s newly opened restaurant in Robina – the larger-format beer hall hints at how that same commitment to German food and hospitality can translate on a grander scale. With additional food, wine and wellness tenants confirmed and construction well underway ahead of its 2027 opening, TEAK is shaping up as a neighbourhood destination – and a clear sign that Mudgeeraba’s evolution isn’t slowing down.
