Burleigh Sports Club

Located on Christine Avenue overlooking the John Handley Community Complex, Burleigh Sports Club has undergone a recent refresh, pairing a laid-back sports bar with a modern, light-filled dining space. Positioned right beside the Burleigh Bombers AFL grounds, it’s an easy go-to for pre- and post-game catch-ups, drawing in families, locals and sporting crews alike.

Inside, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with live sport on the big screens, weekly entertainment, trivia nights and meat raffles adding to the mix. From a quick drink to a longer stay over lunch or dinner, there are plenty of comfortable spots to settle in.

The bistro covers all bases, from $15 lunch specials running Monday to Saturday through to a mix of fresh seafood and pub favourites. Expect dishes like market fish, Szechuan salt-and-pepper squid and beer-battered prawns, alongside familiar classics and rotating seasonal additions.

Membership is available for $5 for five years and extends across all Bears Group venues, including Burleigh Sports Club, Burleigh Leagues Club and Nobby’s Beach Surf Club.
