Tucked within Burleigh’s leafy Hibiscus Haven precinct, Choubidou Cafe is a charming new French-inspired brunch spot from hospitality duo Ammish Adu (Le Jardin Cafe) and Javier Moreno. Taking over the former Burleigh Social and Common Ground site, the rustic cottage-style cafe pairs warm hospitality with classic French touches – think woven cafe chairs beneath bougainvillea, French music drifting through the open kitchen and a menu spanning buttery crepes, croissant bennies, folded omelettes and steak frites with truffle fries. Coffee comes courtesy of First Fruits, while the atmosphere is all about slowing down, settling in and feeling welcome from the moment you walk through the door.
