La Cha Cha Cabana has brought Venezuelan street eats to Burleigh Heads with a permanent food truck parked outside surfing legend Nev Hyman’s board hub. Run by husband-and-wife duo Eric and Trish Perez (of Fiery Deli fame), it’s a colourful cultural hangout where slow-cooked meats, hand-pressed arepas, tacos and saucy birria are made entirely from scratch – right down to the daily-pressed cornmeal bread and olive oil-based sauces. More than just a quick bite, it’s the kind of spot where locals linger over shared tables, swapping stories between bites and surfboard talk.
